DALLAS COWBOYS
America’s Team, America’s most overrated fanbase, and somehow still a binder full of solid cardboard. We’ve got plenty of Dak and CeeDee, a nice stack of Micah Parsons, some Emmitt for the old-timers, and rookies spanning everything from Prizm to Immaculate. Draft’s coming, which means more rookies to chase and another year of Cowboys fans telling me this is finally their year—and another year of me ripping Contenders anyway.
The Cowboys went 12-5 in 2023 and won the NFC East, then missed the playoffs entirely in 2024 (7-10) and 2025 (7-9-1), with the 2025 defense allowing the most points in the league despite a potent offense led by Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and newcomer George Pickens. The blockbuster offseason trade of Micah Parsons to Green Bay for Kenny Clark and two first-round picks reshaped the collector landscape, while Pickens emerged with 93 catches for 1,429 yards in 2025, driving interest in his cards after the trade from Pittsburgh. Veterans Zack Martin (retired) and DeMarcus Lawrence (departed to Seattle) left after 2024, cooling demand for their legacy material.
Where they stand: The Cowboys are in their second season under head coach Brian Schottenheimer and currently in training camp in Oxnard, California, following consecutive seven-win campaigns. Dallas retooled in the 2026 offseason by acquiring edge rusher Rashan Gary from Green Bay and signing safety Jalen Thompson to a three-year deal, while franchise-tagging George Pickens to retain him for another season. Training camp runs through mid-August with open practices today (August 9) and preseason games starting August 15 at Seattle.
